Visa Information
You can check online to see if you need an entry UK visa. If you require a visa, it is recommended you apply for one at least six weeks before your travel. We can provide you with an invitation letter upon request after you have registered for the meeting.
Scotland is not within the Schengen area. For 2026, the entry requirements to the United Kingdom (including Scotland) for visitors from EU, EEA, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein will include an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), while other nationals will continue to use a Standard Visitor visa. The ETA is a short-term travel authorisation for visits up to six months, while a Standard Visitor visa is necessary for those who don't meet the automatic entry conditions and serves as permission for tourism, family visits, or business purposes. For any visit, it is crucial to use the official GOV.UK website to check specific requirements for your nationality before you travel.
Additionally, you may require a transit visa if you are travelling to Scotland via a country that is not within the Schengen area. Your airline should be able to provide you with transit visa information where required. Here is a list of UK embassies that can help you apply for a visa.
