Abstract
Scaling a global streaming platform like Netflix requires a robust, agile, and future-ready network infrastructure. In close collaboration, Netflix and Cisco embarked on a journey to evolve Netflix's BGP architecture, leveraging Cisco's advanced IOS XRv9000 UCS M7 appliance — a solution developed and refined to meet Netflix's unique requirements. This joint presentation will introduce the Netflix network, discuss the motivations for architectural evolution, and detail how both teams worked together to design, validate, and deploy a cutting-edge route reflector solution. Attendees will gain a behind-the-scenes look at the technical challenges, the collaborative innovation process, and the operational benefits realized by both organizations. We'll share the validation, best practices and migration strategies that ensured a seamless transition, as well as the lessons learned that can inform similar projects. Whether you're a network operator, architect, or technology partner, join us to discover how strategic collaboration can drive both technical excellence and business value.
