Abstract

This talk is a story about Henrik, a disabled person, managed to land his dream job as a network engineer in Norlys in Denmark. The talk highlights the challenges he has faced along the way, along with his view on why it is so hard to find a job when you cannot work full time. The talk also includes the perspective of Henriks manager. How is it to manage a flex jobber? What to consider as a manager, when flex jobbers apply for your full time positions. How to tailor the work environment to flex jobbers. Lastly the hidden truth, about how most network engineers suffer from some kind of disability, is reviled and how we all benefit from the working environment that we have stup in regarding flex jobbers.
Finally Henrik presents the kind of work that he have been doing during his time in Norlys, to inspire both workers and managers.
