Meow!

Éric Vyncke - 2026-05-21 09:13:33
I love this presentation, direct and honest messages delivered with humour ;-)

Marek Zarychta - 2026-05-21 09:34:59
Thank you for the excellent presentation. Now, referring to it, it will be easier to lobby for broader support for IPv6-only

Shane Kerr - 2026-05-21 09:40:55
"You cannot imagine how old software can be in some enterprises..." 🤣

Orville Auclair - 2026-05-21 09:42:03
Lmao, we manipulate software from the last 5 decades at my job 😅

Robert Scheck - 2026-05-21 09:53:19
@Shane…some boring enterprise software I see out there (really nothing special) is meanwhile allowed to buy alcohol if it would visit the US. I even don't want to imagine software age in special environments…

Éric Vyncke - 2026-05-21 09:55:00
winCLAT looks weird as the CLAT IPv6 address is not check-sum neutral when doing IPv4-IPv6 translation

Jordi Palet Martinez - 2026-05-21 10:04:09
probably they just "transplanted" the code used before for 3G interfaces, where of course, there is a single device in each PDP context .... Not sure if that code was allowing tethering via de CLAT.

Jordi Palet Martinez - 2026-05-21 10:04:23
Hopefully next release fix that!

Éric Vyncke - 2026-05-21 10:04:30
This could be an explanation indeed

Éric Vyncke - 2026-05-21 10:06:49
@Jen indeed mDNS by default is per broadcast domain

Mick O'Donovan - 2026-05-21 10:11:14
OSPF and EIGRP you say? Why don't we just run BGP down to all clients from our layer 3 switches using private ASN and then we can all just implement IXP manager to deploy the "peering LAN" switch configurations 😁

Mick O'Donovan - 2026-05-21 10:11:36
Then the topologies are even more simplified

Mick O'Donovan - 2026-05-21 10:12:47
Great presentation and nice suggestions Wilhelm!
