Measuring DNS over IPv6
Geoff Huston, APNIC

This is a talk on the measurement techniques that can be used to undertake a large-scale measurement of the use of IPv6 as the IP underlay for DNS queries and responses. The presentation looks at the issues relating to measurement of DNS behaviours and the associated uncertainty of the measurement outcomes.

Scanning the IPv6 Internet Using Subnet-Router Anycast Probing
Maynard Koch, TU Dresden

Identifying active IPv6 addresses is challenging.
Various methods emerged to master the measurement challenge in this huge address space, including hitlists, new probing techniques, and AI-generated target lists.
In this presentation, we apply active Subnet-Router anycast (SRA) probing, a commonly unused method to explore the IPv6 address space.
We compare our results with lists of active IPv6 nodes obtained from prior methods and with random probing. Our findings indicate that probing an SRA…

Lots of free data! The RPKISPOOL format data materialization as used in RPKIViews

RPKIViews discovers and stores all the world's RPKI data. The guiding principle is to support future and unforeseen use cases by making the world's RPKI data easily accessible in original form. RPKI material is collected globally from multiple topologically and geographically diverse vantages points using both rsync and RRDP synchronization. In this talk we'll cover how researchers & analysts can make use of the new "RPKISPOOL" storage technique, as used in RPKIViews.

Detecting and Characterizing DDoS Scrubbing from Global BGP Routing: Insights from Five Leading Scrubbers
Shyam Krishna Khadka, University of Twente

Many scrubbers use the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) to route Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) traffic to their infrastructure, allowing them to drop the DDoS traffic and forward legitimate traffic to the Autonomous Systems (ASes) the scrubber protects. Despite their importance, the prevalence and operational behaviors of BGP-based DDoS scrubbing services remain poorly understood, such as the extent to which protected ASes always have a scrubber on their path or activate a scrubber on-deman…

Exploring Iran's Internet Shutdowns Using Cloudflare Radar

Iranian citizens spent a large percentage of the first quarter of 2026 offline, or with severely limited connectivity, due to two extended nationwide Internet shutdowns. Traffic, DNS, BGP, and other data sets available through Cloudflare Radar can be used to better understand the impact of these events.
