Abstract
Iranian citizens spent a large percentage of the first quarter of 2026 offline, or with severely limited connectivity, due to two extended nationwide Internet shutdowns. Traffic, DNS, BGP, and other data sets available through Cloudflare Radar can be used to better understand the impact of these events.

David Belson
David Belson is Head of Data Insight at Cloudflare, with Product Management responsibility for Cloudflare Radar (radar.cloudflare.com).
